The Gladys Porter Zoo is proud to present a 10-day Costa Rica adventure. From the palm- fringed beaches of the Caribbean coast to mist-shrouded mountains cloaked in cloud forest, Costa Rica is a paradise for the naturalist. This peaceful little country contains a phenomenally diverse concentration of wildlife on this trip look for spider, capuchin, howler and squirrel monkeys, sloths, hummingbirds, resplendent quetzals and more.
Other destination highlights include spectacular displays from the Arenal Volcano, Tortuguero National Park home to the world’s most famous sea turtle nesting sites, and the cloud forest of Monteverde Reserve. The reserve contains over 2,000 species of plants including a wide array of bromeliads and an incredible assortment of animals including the three-wattled bellbird, buffy tuftedcheek and emerald toucanet.
